Whiting Fillets Boned
Whiting Fillets are now off sale due to the species being red rated on the 'fish to eat' list
As a reputable company that has been trading for over 30 years, our principle aim is to ensure that the fish we supply to our customers is the best quality available and responsibly caught from sustainable fishing grounds.
Whilst promoting the best option is something that we have always tried to make transparent with sustainability ratings under each species, in light of the recent Seaspiricy documentary we have taken the decision to actively remove some of the least sustainable red rated species.
With this is mind we have delisted Whiting from our website and sales offering, we will continue to monitor the situation and update our site in line with any changes to the stock status.
In the meantime, we suggest Haddock and Coley fillets as a more sustainable alternative

RASS (Risk Assessment for Sourcing Seafood) is a risk assessment tool that has been devised by the Seafish Authority, an independent body that represents the UK fishing industry. RASS supplies up to date information which is presented using a five point system and covers four components - fish stock, management of stock, habitat and by catch from which an informed purchasing decision can be made by the customer.
