We source the very best Smoked Kippers from Artisan Smokehouse Waveney Valley in Lowestoft. Using the traditional method of smoking the finest Herring in 150 year old kilns using 100% hardwood
2 lightly smoked Smoked Kippers on the bone per pack. This product is undyed and is cold smoked so requires cooking prior to consumption. Will contain bones. A kipper is a whole Herring, that has been split in butterfly fashion from tail to head along the dorsal ridge, gutted, salted and cold smoked over smouldering woodchips. This product is usually chilled but may be supplied frozen when the product is in short supply.

- To preserve maximum flavour, you should always cook kippers "on the bone" or with its flesh still attached to its bones. Simply grease a piece of aluminium foil, place the kippers on top and then place under the grill for 4 - 5 minutes. Alternatively, remove packaging and microwave for approximately 1 ½ to 2 minutes.
