Baked Seabass Fillets with Orange and Ginger

Baked Seabass Fillets with a delicious Orange and Ginger sauce

  • 1 orange, juiced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • ½ tbsp dark brown soft sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp sesame oil
  • 1 pinch crushed chillies
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 orange, peeled and flesh chopped
  • 2 spring onions, chopped to garnish
  • Salt & freshly ground Black Pepper


  1. First make the sauce by combining all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to the boil then simmer for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
  2. Lightly dust the fish with flour and season.
  3. Spray a frying pan with oil and heat and place fish skin side down and cook until the skin is golden brown.
  4. Place the fish in an ovenproof dish and pour over the sauce.
  5. Place in a hot oven and cook for 5-10 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
  6. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
