Tuna Loin Salad

Ingredients:

Marinade:

  • 2 x Regal Tuna Steaks, fresh or defrosted
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Black Pepper
  • Minced Garlic to taste 
  • Salad Leaves
  • 1 Red Onion, chopped finely
  • Handful New Potatoes, cooked


Method:

  1. Whisk together the marinade and place the loin steak in with the marinade.
  2. Store in the fridge for at least an hour.
  3. Prepare a green leaf salad with the new potatoes.
  4. Drain tuna from marinade and retain
  5. Put tuna on a griddle pan or pan fry for 2-3 minutes on each side
  6. Put chopped onions in the saucepan and cook in the marinade till lightly golden. Pour over salad straight from the pan and serve with the tuna steaks.
